We visited New Mills Trout fishing park whilst on holiday in Cumbria. My two lads had never been fishing before and I hadn't been for many years so we had no equipment, tackle or bait. We obviously didn't have much clue on how to fish or were rusty at best. None of that mattered! We were provided with all that we needed, a rod each, a net, the bait and a quick run through of the basics that was enough to teach us what we needed to know and how to do it. We spent a good 2-3 hours fishing and all catched a trout each. It was fun and the lads had a great first experience of fishing. The place itself is beautiful. There is a toilet on site and a small shop. They gutted and filleted the fish we caught on site so that they were ready to cook when we got them home. Would 100% recommend even if you have never fished before. Also helpful staff, and excellent kept fish. daaaa

Great first 'catching' session for my youngest to get the thrill of catching fish on the fun pond.
For an 8 year old on his first fishing experience it is just what is needed to get him into wanting to fish properly. Fantastic staff and place. daaaa
